For years if you asked me who my favorite cross stitch designer was, I would have answered without hesitation - Blackbird Designs. I've loved their designs for years and years and I've stitched my fair share. Including the Garden Club series, which I just finished up after a couple of years of stitching!
But for the last couple of years, I've really been drawn to Plum Street Samplers. I've been collecting charts here and there, but I haven't actually stitched a single one yet. I decided this summer was the time to remedy that! I've started with a smallish one - A Friend Loveth.
I have a definite soft spot for designs that use Bible verses. (As I'm typing this, I'm realizing that may be why I'm drawn to Paulette's designs, since she often uses scripture verses.)
I'm moving right along on it - changing the colors a bit as I go.
I've got a couple more Plum Street designs kitted and ready to go -
And these are on the short list of things I definitely want to stitch:
A Shepherd's Song
Liberty's Welcome
Pink House Sampler
But before I start another large project, I've set a goal of finishing Books of the Bible. Which was supposed to be my large project from last year. Which didn't get finished last year. I'm bound and determined to finish it this year!
I think I'd best get busy!
I'm Robin, the designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
