Oh my goodness, Pumpkin Season is getting closer, and I've got 3 new designs releasing September 1st that are definitely "pumpkin" themed!
First up is the newest design in our "Faire" series...Pumpkin Faire!
I don't want to toot my own horn too much, but have you seen a more tantalizing pumpkin lately? Perfect for fall stitching, it features a plump and patterned pumpkin being watched over by a sweet little wren.
I stitched my model on 32 ct. Parchment linen by Weeks Dye Works. Which is a practically perfect linen color, in my opinion. It's not too orange, not too yellow, not too gray. It works just as well for newer designs as it does for vintage or reproduction samplers. Perfection.
The stitch count is 90 x 51, which finishes to about 5 5/8" x 3 1/8" on 32 count linen. It would fit wonderfully in a ready-made 4 x 6 frame for a quick finish if you don't want to make a pillow. Or if you do it on a 40 count, it would be a sweet and petite 4 1/2" x 2 1/2"!
The threads are a combination of Classic Colorworks and Weeks Dye Works:
Classic Colorworks (CC)
Sweet Potato
Weeks Dye Works (WDW)
Swiss Chocolate, Molasses, Daylily, Peach, Chrysanthemum, Broom Tree, Meredith's Pink, Flatfish, Bright Leaf, Loden
I finished my model with a skinny chenille trim in Scorched Linen by Dames of the Needle, and backed it with a nice olive green small floral from my fabric stash, then stuffed it with polyfil.
