I don't know about you, but where I live it feels like summer! Hot and humid:)
Whenever the weather turns really warm, I always get an urge to do hand stitching. Whether it's cross stitch, embroidery or hand piecing...summer just seems like the perfect time to start (and finish!) small hand held projects.
Our two newest designs definitely fit the bill for great summer projects. First is Bloom and Grow, a sweet little floral design that stitches up in no time. (Psst, if you ordered a cross stitch chart from us last fall, you got this design for free as a thank you!) I have a little thing for little pillows, so you'll see more finishes like this in the future:)
Next is Upon a Hill, a happy little house sampler that has quite a lot crammed into it's little borders! I love stitching houses, and this one is full of color. And who doesn't love a stripey green hill? Bonus: this design fits into a standard 6" x 6" frame.
Now, back to stitching...and trying to keeping cool!
I'm Robin, the designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
