We debuted a new yarn base at DFW Fiber Fest and Ply Away this year, MCS Fingering. It's a beautiful blend of superwash merino, silk and cashmere in a 3 ply yarn.
I've included it in the last few shop updates, but never really said much about it. It just sort of slipped under the radar with all the travel and general busyness of spring.
It takes color beautifully, and the silk gives it a beautiful luster. Of course, the cashmere makes it super soft and squishy...as cashmere does:)
You get 430 yards (393 m) in a fingering weight yarn, just perfect for shawls, socks or sweaters. So if you're looking for a new blend - and you love soft yarns - give it a try!

I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
